  • Serious Bible Study –

    by Dan Davis

For serious Bible study, you need to dedicate time to regularly reading the text in context, considering historical and cultural background, actively engaging with the meaning of the passage, utilizing study tools like commentaries and dictionaries, applying insights to your life, and approaching the study with a prayerful attitude always seeking to understand God’s message. This often involves developing a habit of consistent study, seeking community with others for discussion, and being open to learning and growing in your understanding over time. At the bottom of this page is a link to a live Linux distribution that can be installed onto a flash drive. In this Linux distribution built around MX Linux there are resources to help you begin your journey in following the Lord Jesus Christ. Getting the Bible into you is one of the keys to your journey. This Live Bible based Linux distribution should help you. You can install it if you like or simply run it live on a USB stick. You also need to get into a Bible based church. When a person accepts Christ as Lord and Savior, they immediately become part of the church, the Body of Christ. No Christian is a loner. Its a lie that you can stay in bed on Sunday morning and not go to church. You have an enemy, Satan. He will tell you that lie because he’s the father of lies. Get into fellowship with other Christians. Bible study, worshiping with fellow believers, prayer (simply talking with God), and sharing your new found faith are all parts of your journey. You are a new creation in Christ. Remember 2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
